INDIANAPOLIS — New Horizons Band will perform at Scecina Memorial Highs School on October 9 at 2 p.m. All are welcome to attend and hear selections from The Sound of Music, Sentimental Journey, Anything Goes, and a rousing rendition of Duty, Honor, Country, honoring Scecina Memorial High School’s namesake Father Tom Scecina. The concert is free, and all are welcome to attend. Scecina High School is located at 5000 Nowland Ave. Admission is free but a free will offering for the New Horizons Band would be appreciated.
New Horizons Band of Indianapolis is an offshoot of the national New Horizons Band. The New Horizons concept is creating an entry point for adult beginners – especially senior adults – and a re-entry point for people who have been away from active music making for many years. Since its founding in 1991, the New Horizons movement has spawned more than 200 bands and orchestras across the United States.
