INDIANAPOLIS — The TURN Festival, Transforming Urban Neighborhoods, is a FREE and fun educational community event focused on urban sustainability. The 6th annual TURN Festival returns to Indianapolis Saturday, Sept. 24 from noon-6 p.m. at Paramount School of Excellence, 3020 Nowland Ave.
The day will be filled with workshops, hands-on demonstrations, exhibitors, and other sessions help teach various topics centered around teaching sustainability, beekeeping, family gardening, food preservation, health and wellness, cooking, Zumba, cycling, and more. There will be face painting, live music, bounce houses, and live animals.
This festival is presented by Paramount Schools of Excellence in partnership with Purdue Polytechnic, Purdue Extension of Marion County, Keystone, Community Health Network, SKO., Trajectory, Kaiser Press, Executive Image, RHB Resources and Comfort Systems USA Indiana.
Any proceeds from the festival will benefit Paramount’s urban farm, environmental education, and summer S.T.E.A.M. (Success Through Education Agriculture and Mentoring) programs.
