INDIANAPOLIS — Clear Path 465 will add lanes and rebuild pavement to I-465 between I-69 /Binford Blvd. and the White River. The work will be completed in phases and require traffic shifts and closures on I-465.
Crews will restrict I-465 eastbound to one lane to restripe the pavement and shift traffic toward the outside shoulder. Weekend traffic pattern changes include short-term and long-term ramp closures. The Keystone Ave. on-ramps to eastbound I-465 will close for re-striping and reopen for the Monday rush hour. The long-term closure of the Allisonville ramp will begin over the Aug. 5-7 weekend and will remain closed through 2024.
Traffic patterns westbound on I-465 are expected to begin Aug. 12-Aug. 15 with restriction to one lane to restripe the pavement and shift traffic over closer to eastbound traffic. When completed, the left lane of I-465 will shift across the center median for a temporary express lane from I-69/Binford to Keystone. No large trucks will be allowed and the first exit ramp access out of the express lane will be at US 31/Meridian. The new pattern will remain in place through 2022.
