Queer Irvington Business Spotlight

IRVINGTON — The Irvington community has always been a diverse and accepting space. It is the home of 7 proud queer owned businesses that will take part in the first annual Queer Irvington Business Spotlight. Each business will feature a special event, discount or happening on Saturday June 25th. Business that are participating include:
• The Bareknuckles Barber Shop, 5603 E. Washington St.: $20 haircuts plus cocktails & mocktails. Barbers as well as cosmetologist will be on hand. 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
• Deb Kent Gallery of Homes, 206 S. Audubon: Drag Queen Makeovers. Get your makeup done by a Queen & enjoy photo opps. Plus, meet & greet with Deb Kent & Jamie Willis, the wives who change lives. 1-3 p.m.
• Frontdoor Home Design, new digs at the former Coal Yard Coffee Shop on Bonna Ave.
• Hampton Designs Studio & Shop, 5515 E. Washington St.: Drag Show from 8-11 p.m. Plus, a very special pop-up with Andrew Brown of Imvibe Mocktaiks & Queer Chocolatier during the day. Live music from 1-2 p.m. with Kara Cole. Complimentary mini Pride flags for all. 11 a.m.-11 p.m.
• Irvington Vinyl & Books, 202 S. Audubon: Celebrate their grand re-opening. Come enjoy $20 mystery boxes of Vinyl. 12-8 p.m.
• Stage Door Theater, 5635 Bonna Ave.: Join them from 4-8PM for a Red Carpet Gayla showcasing live theatre, entertainment, musicians, queer films and snacks!
• Trinity Haven, Damien Center as well as Irvington Counseling will be at 9 Johnson Avenue to discuss the resources they provide to our LGBTQIA+ community.
• Urban Houseplant Collective, next to Irving Theater at Johnson and E. Washington St.: Plant & Pot Swap. Noon to 2 p.m.
