INDIANAPOLIS — Indy Department of Public Works and IndyGo will hold a meeting for residents to learn more about the proposed two-way conversion of Michigan and New York streets. The proposal would encompass the streets between College, Emerson, and North Ellenbergy Parkway and would take place in 2023 and be completed by 2024. The meeting will be held Thursday, Nov. 4 from 6-8 p.m. at the John H. Boner Neighborhood Center, 2236 E. 10th St.
The conversion of both streets will feature improvements to existing sidewalks, curbs and ADA ramps, crosswalk and railroad enhancements, as well as street resurfacing.
The open house will be held during the Near Eastside Quality of Life’s Fall Summit. Attendees are reminded that face masks are required inside the Boner Center.
