INDIANAPOLIS — Cook Medical Inc., leading a coalition of organizations, recently broke ground on a new grocery store to be constructed at 38th and Sheridan on the east side. Indy Fresh Market will be about 15,000 square feet and will be near the Cook Medical/Goodwill Services facility that is currently under construction in the neighborhood.
Situated in what is an underserved area of Indianapolis, the new store will be a full service grocery operated by Michael McFarland and Marckus Williams. Previously, they opened Wall Street Market on 38th St. between Arlington and Emerson which offered fresh produce and dairy products, as well as other grocery items.
The project is expected to be completed by 2022.
