IRVINGTON — The annual Our Lady of Lourdes Chili Cookoff will be held Saturday, Nov. 13 from 11:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.. for the cooks at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School on the corner of East Washington and Downey Ave.
Registration is being taken for cooks for the event, which is a fundraiser for Our Lady of Lourdes. Each cook that registers by Oct. 27 will be entered to win a $25 Jockamo gift card. Cooks will have from 9 a.m.-noon to cook. Doors open to the general public at 11:30 a.m. ($5 general admission that gets you free samples of the chili competitors). There will be a People’s Choice award for the best chili.
Cook teams should plan to cook 3-5 gallons of chili to share with guests and judges. All chili must be cooked on site, on the day of the competition. Cooks must bring their own equipment and cook only in their booths.
