INDIANAPOLIS — From Monday, Aug. 30, until Sept. 10, weather permitting, the right lane of Michigan Street will be closed under the interstate. The restriction allows crews to drive pile between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Also through Sept. 17, there will be nightly lane restrictions on both eastbound and westbound Washington Street for structure demolition. Depending on where work is occurring, traffic will shift to avoid active demolition areas. Through traffic and turning movements will be maintained, although motorists should be aware of changing traffic patterns in the area.
Eastbound Ohio Street will be closed to traffic at College Avenue to Sept. 28, weather permitting. All eastbound Ohio Street traffic will be redirected to New York Street via College Avenue for the duration of this closure.
From 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night, Lewis Street will be closed under the interstate through Sept. 10. The vehicle detour follows 13th Street, Commerce Avenue and 16th Street. The pedestrian and bicycle detours use the Monon Loop.
