Social Distanced First Friday Gallery Opening at the Harrison Center May 7

INDIANAPOLIS — The Harrison Center, located at 1505 N. Delaware St., will offer an in-person First Friday on May 7 from 6-9 p.m. Registration is required for entrance to this social distanced event. Guests can register online on Eventbrite.
The Harrison Center and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway  will kick off porching season. The new front porch will be dedicated at 6 p.m. with a virtual ceremony.
Several new shows will be featured, including “Felines and Canines” a group show featuring cats and dogs in Speck Gallery. “Comfort” by  Phillip Campbell will be in the City Gallery. These quilts, or security blankets as he calls them, relate to our city as each piece is made by deconstructing and reassembling used clothing worn by our neighbors. “From the Heart” by Marianne Glick in the Harrison Gallery reflects the emotions of the past year and that now is a time when we all need to open our hearts to each other. “Nature’s Claim” by Graham Marshall in the Gallery Annex.
