INDIANAPOLIS — The #GotMyShot social media and outreach campaign launched by the city recently will help amplify voices of trusted community members and the reasons why they chose to get vaccinated, along with relevant COVID-19 information and facts. Anyone can get involved in the campaign. Facts, testimonials, and assets are available at www.GotMyShotcampaign.com.
#GotMyShot is a community-based campaign that includes a coalition of 20 corporate, community, professional sports, and healthcare organizations and their representatives. The campaign provides a platform for highly recognizable individuals and everyday people to share their stories both online and through their own communication channels about why they got vaccinated.
According to the MCPHD COVID-19 dashboard, 24% of Marion County residents have been partially or fully vaccinated as of April 5. However, only 10.4% of African Americans have been fully vaccinated, despite comprising 21.9% of the overall population of the county.
