INDIANAPOLIS — INDYCAR recently announced that its 2021 season will begin on April 18, rather than March 7. The season opener will be at Barber Motorsports Park in Alabama.
This is the third change in the schedule since October. All the changes are due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
As it stands, the road course race at the Speedway is scheduled for May 15 and the Indianapolis 500 is still on the schedule for May 30.
