INDIANAPOLIS — IndyGo will offer fare-free holiday rides on Christmas and New Year’s Eve for the second year in a row. The offer is on all fixed route and Open Door service and will begin at 8 p.m. on New Year’s Eve. Routes operate on a Sunday schedule Christmas Day and regular schedules on New Year’s Eve.
IndyGo will host a canned goods and non-perishable food drive on Dec. 15. Riders who donate a canned good or non-perishable food item as they board any fixed route or Open Door bus on Dec. 15 will receive a free one-way ride. In order to receive the free ride, the donation must be made on board the bus at the time of the ride. All donated items will be given to the Midwest Food Bank-Indiana Division. Those who wish to donate but are not riding the bus are invited to make their donation at Customer Service at the Carson Transit Center between 8 a.m.-6 p.m. that day.
