INDIANAPOLIS — The Franklin Township Historical Society had to cancel both of its annual fundraisers (the Rummage Sale and the Harvest Luncheon), events that normally help raise the funds necessary to maintain the Society’s 149-year-old building. Since it wasn’t possible to hold live events, the Society is trying something new: An online auction of vintage items that have been donated for this purpose. The auction will run on eBay from Oct. 1st through 10th.
Items for sale are quite eclectic and include Victorian antiques, a Star Trek board game and many other vintage Star Trek items, a 1940s beaded handbag, an 1800s wooden kneading bowl, vintage toys, antique books, a copper-lined smoking cabinet, autographed items, and more.
Those interested may view the auction items by clicking on the link that will be posted both on the Historical Society’s website, FTHS.org, and on the Society’s Facebook page, Facebook.com/FranklinTownshipHistoricalSociety. Those with questions may e-mail FranklinTownshipHistory@gmail.com.
