Holy Spirit Festival Cancelled

INDIANAPOLIS — The Holy Spirit Festival has been cancelled for 2020. Next year it will be back for the 75th Anniversary with renewed energy. After receiving a lot of input from the parishioners and since so many are older, Father Paul decided to cancel for this year.
However, the spirit of the Festival is moving to August 1st and 2nd when 2 significant moments will be celebrated. The first is the $ 4.8 million project will have begun  construction and second, Father Paul will be retiring, and while he will remain at Holy Spirit it will be a chance to thank Father Paul for his service to the community
Fundraising aspects of the Festival will continue on Saturday, August 1st 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday August 2nd 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with raffles and an online silent auction. Chances will be sold in the parish office after masses beginning July 11th.
On Sunday August 2nd, the 10:15 am Mass will be held outside on the south side of the parish property. You can bring a chair, sit is the grass or stay in your car. Father Paul will preach this retirement Mass
On August 1st and 2nd, there will be a “HOLY SPIRIT FEAST” celebrating all these events with many of the traditional festival foods. Dinner will be free but donations will be appreciated to off-set the cost of not having the festival. If you prefer to stay in your car, you can order food and take it home. Father Paul will be around to greet and wish him well.
There will be a celebration for Father Nico to wish him well as new pastor at St Gabriels. It will be July 26th after the 1:45 Mass.
