INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Children’s Choir (ICC), one of Indianapolis’ most recognizable music education and choral organizations, is hosting a virtual 24-hour fundraiser, The Big Fun Event: Back in The Game. The Big Fun Event: Back in The Game will begin virtually on Tuesday, May 12 and run for 24 hours. This event is replacing the annual Big Fun Event gala that was canceled in April due to COVID-19. The goal is to recoup essential funds that are donated during the gala and from other ICC concerts that have also been canceled due to social distancing laws. With a goal of raising $80,000, the fundraiser will run for a full 24 hours online. Community members can learn more and donate at icchoir.org/bfe.
Reaching their fundraising goal will allow the ICC to continue to keep music education alive for young people in Indianapolis and surrounding areas. Donations of all sizes are welcome, ranging from large to very small. A combination of generous sponsors and donors will match all donations, doubling the impact of your gift. ICC social media channels will also share two hours of testimonials from surprise celebrities, provide chances to view previous ICC concerts, and offer fun facts about the organization. Community members can participate by donating on Tuesday, May 12, and posting on social media using the hashtags #GetBackInTheGame or #ICC.
