INDIANAPOLIS — PATTERN, in partnership with Indiana Fashion Foundation, recently announced that the launch and open house for its new sewing facility, StitchWorks, will be held on Thursday, March 19 from 3-7 p.m. at 1125 East Brookside Ave. The event will include refreshments and remarks made by Polina Osherov and Denisha Ferguson at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m., live sewing demonstrations and the opportunity for attendees to test out the facility’s machines.
StitchWorks seeks to revitalize the art of sewing by providing resources, classes, an industrial sewing certificate, and production services. Still in the pilot phase, StitchWorks has until the end of 2020 to raise the necessary funding to prove the surrounding community wants and needs the service. A donation of any size is asked in exchange for a ticket to the open house event. All proceeds will go directly to equipment and supplies.
