Whispers From the Grave on Sat., Oct. 19

IRVINGTON — The Irvington Ghost Tours presents “Whispers From the Grave,” a testimony of Irvington’s most infamous crimes, on Saturday, Oct. 19 from 2-4 p.m. at the Irving Theater (5505 E. Washington St.). This is an afternoon of dramatic readings of courtroom testimony, depositions, and witness statements from crimes taking place in Irvington. Due to the adult nature of some of the content, parental discretion is advised. Admission is free, but a $5 minimum donation is suggested to help support the free press of Irvington. Doors open at 1:30 p.m. and will close at 2 p.m. sharp.
Readers include radio star Dave Wilson as D.C. Stephenson, the Grand Dragon of the Indiana KKK in the 1920s; former WTHR meteorologist Nicole Misencik as Madge Oberholtzer who was murdered by Stephenson; WTHR journalist Brandon Kline as Frank Geyer, the detective who investigation of the H.H. Holmes murders; host of Boomer radio and TV Julie Patterson as Georgiana Yoke, Holmes’s wife; and WISH TV personality and host of Infamous Indy podcast Joe Melillo, as H.H. Holmes.
The readings are a fascinating way to dig deeper into the crimes of H.H. Holmes and D.C. Stephenson, and hear from their victims. It is a compelling two hours of history brought to life. Last year’s presentation was a huge success, and people are encouraged to come early to get good seats.
