Indianapolis photographer and writer John Sherman will have an opening reception for his exhibit, “Looking Forward: Beauty. Pride. Defiance.” at the Harrison Center, 1505 N. Delaware Street, Indianapolis, on Friday, October 4, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The exhibit features photographic profiles shot by John of 12 women who either were undergoing chemotherapy at the time of the photo shoot or who had chemo treatments in the past. The images are 40” x 40”, framed, accompanied by bios of the women. The profiles have been divided into 25 squares of equal sizes.
Several of the photo subjects are expected to attend the opening. “Looking Forward” will be on exhibit until the end of October. The Harrison is open Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free and free parking is available behind the Center and on nearby streets.
