INDIANAPOLIS Save the date for Picasso Puppies, taking place on Saturday, August 17, from 12 – 3 p.m. At the Garfield Park Arts Center. Over a dozen local organizations will be there to share their pet-related services such as Indy Humane, My Pet Carnivore, and City Dogs Grocery. Bow Wow Meow Boutique is doing nail trims for $10, as well as bringing their self-service cleaning tubs to try for free after you’re done painting with your pup. Hoosier Home will be selling pet-themed artwork. Admission is $10 for 2 projects.
Along with that, there will be live music, a silent auction, a caricaturist to draw you and your dog (included in admission price), a hot dog cart, and a beer and wine bar from Garfield Brewery. The two art activities this year are a canvas that you stencil your dog’s name onto, which they will then cover with colorful painted paw prints and a fabric bow that you can slide onto your pup’s collar.
This year is pre-registration only, so make sure you sign up at Garfield Park online at allevents.in/indianapolis/picasso-puppies
