INDIANAPOLIS — On Tuesday, May 14, the Eskenazi Health Farmers’ Market will kick off its 12th season of providing fresh and local produce, fresh baked goods, plants and other market items to the public. In addition, the market will offer a variety of music as well as resources and techniques to help reduce stress and improve mood.
Every Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., The Commonground in front of the Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital will transform into a farmers’ market with several vendors, local farmers and games, such as corn hole and football toss. The market, which will also occasionally include a live concert or a DJ, goes throughout the summer months and ends Tuesday, Sept. 10. The event will occur rain or shine.
Items sold at the Eskenazi Health Farmers’ Market are grown or made within 150 miles of the Eskenazi Health downtown campus and within the state of Indiana.
Duos will again be part of the weekly offerings with its permanent location directly next to the market.
While the market’s aim is to attract Eskenazi Health employees and others on the IUPUI campus, all visitors and guests are encouraged to stop by and visit the farmers’ market. The Eskenazi Health Parking Garage is accessible for patrons and is located just west of the market on Dr. Harvey Middleton Way. If you have any questions about the Eskenazi Health Farmers’ Market, please call 317-880-3300.
