INDIANAPOLIS — Paramount Schools of Excellence has established a third site at 1849 Pleasant Run Parkway South Drive to serve 5 –8th grade students. The new middle school, Paramount Englewood opens on August 2 for the 2019 – 2020 school year. Paramount Schools of Excellence was founded in 2010 with the commitment to inspire learning through an unparalleled academic approach and transform communities by changing lives.
Establishment of a second middle school program continues Paramount’s commitment to serving Indianapolis’s near eastside. The expansion will feature Paramount’s proven academic framework that combines data-driven, standards-based instruction with an exciting STEM-infused environment. Paramount Englewood is a part of the P.R. Mallory project with Purdue Polytechnic High School, and support of The Mind Trust to provide Indianapolis students high-quality education opportunities.
Paramount Englewood is a Mayor-sponsored public charter school under the provision of the Indianapolis Office of Education Innovation. Principal Darius Sawyers planned for the replication while participating in The Mind Trust’s Innovation Fellowship program. The Englewood campus is an extension of Paramount’s successful education model. Paramount’s flagship campus is designated an “A” school by the Indiana Department of Education, a 2018 Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education and received a 2018 School Excellence Award by the Indianapolis Urban League.
Enrollment is now open and additional information about Paramount Schools of Excellence and the Paramount Englewood can be found at www.paramountindy.org.
