• After our little break, the Weekly View is back to celebrate our 10th Anniversary in 2019! It seems like just yesterday we were figuring this whole newspaper ownership thing out, despite our many years working for papers. It is a whole different ballgame when you are the owners. On March 22, we’ll be publishing a 10th Anniversary special section, and we’re looking forward to putting it together for you.

• Looking for something different to do at First Friday, Jan. 4? Check out the First Friday Night Market from 6-10 p.m. at 1125 Cruft St. on the southside. Sponsored by the Tube Factory artspace, Local creatives gather to show their latest projects and sell art. It is a monthly happening, and in winter it is inside the artspace.
• Other First Friday sites, including the Harrison at 16th and Delaware, and Circle City Industrial Complex on Brookside Ave., will be open on Jan. 4 from 6-9 p.m. for people who need a break from all the holiday merry-making. January tends to be a slower period for the artists, which gives you a chance to talk with them about their work.
