INDIANAPOLIS — Recently, the Indiana Arts Commission approved 73 projects for the 2019 Arts in the Parks and Historic Sites program. Individual and organization grants were given for a variety of projects that incorporate the arts into state parks throughout the state. Partnerships for Lawrence was awarded a grant from the Indiana Arts Commission for their program, Plein Air in the Park at Fort Harrison State Park. The program offers an opportunity for artists of all ages and abilities to paint at the park, then finished paintings will be displayed at the Theatre at the Fort.
The IAC also bestowed individual artist grants for creative enrichment programs. Recipients include Julie Lyn Barber (Cabaret Poe), Glory-June Greiff, Shari Wagner, among others.
