CICF Awards Funds to Organizations for Seniors

INDIANAPOLIS — Central Indiana Senior Fund, a special interest fund of Central Indiana Community Foundation, awarded grants to 24 senior-serving not-for-profit organizations totaling $757,360. The Senior Fund advisory board selected organizations that alleviate barriers and create opportunities for a growing senior population in Central Indiana.
Grants were awarded to: Alzheimer’s Disease & Related Disorders Association, Castleton United Methodist Church/ Still Waters Adult Day Center, CICOA, Community Alliance of the Far Eastside, Connect2Help, Eskenazi Health Foundation, Families First Indiana, Flanner House, Gibault Care, Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana, Hawthorne Social Service Association, Horizon House, John H. Boner Community Center, Little Red Door Cancer Agency, Meals on Wheels of Hancock County, National Foundation Of Dentistry for the Handicapped, Servants at Work, Shepherd’s Center of Hamilton County, St. Vincent Hospital Foundation, The Salvation Army, Trinity Free Clinic, Trusted Mentors, United Way of Central Indiana, and Westminster Neighborhood Services.
The organizations supported by Senior Fund align with one or more of the fund’s priority areas, indicated by research as the areas of need for the aging population, including basic needs, health and wellness, life-affirming opportunities, and living environments of choice.
