Indy Moves Transportation Plan Draft Released

INDIANAPOLIS — The Department of Metropolitan Development, in partnership with the Metropolitan Planning Organization and the Department of Public Works, has released a draft of the Indy Moves Transportation Plan. This transportation integration plan aims to tie together Indianapolis’ many transportation-focused efforts and establish a single action plan to keep the city moving for years to come. Earlier this year, the city hosted thirteen open houses to gather feedback from residents on planned transportation projects, like bike lane and trail improvements, and heard ideas for future projects.
The plan is available for public comment online at indymoves.org from October 1 through October 22. The opportunity to review the draft plan and provide feedback in-person will be on Friday, October 5th at the Exhibition on City Planning at the Harrison Center, 1505 N. Delaware, from 6-9 p.m.
