INDIANAPOLIS — Indy’s only Shakespeare festival returns with 4 unique productions by 82 actors and crew over 2 long weekends. Each production runs several times during the 11-day festival, which will be held at the IndyFringe Theatre, 719 E. St. Clair St.
Bard Fest Indy was founded by three Indiana-based theatre companies to bring a professional-quality, yet intimate, Shakespeare festival experience to Hoosier audiences. This year, a youth theatre group Agape Performing Arts Company will be part of the Fest. Tickets are $15 general admission, $12 students/seniors.
This year’s plays include The Merchant of Venice (First Folio Productions), Much Ado About Nothing (The Carmel Theatre Company), Romeo and Juliet (Catalyst Repertory), and A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Agape Performing Arts Company).
Performances begin Sept. 27 and run through Oct. 7. For more information, visit www.indyfringe.org
