INDIANAPOLIS — Bring your favorite canine companion to the Garfield Park Arts Center (GPAC) to make pet-friendly artwork and participate in other activities on Sat., Aug. 18 from noon-3 p.m. The arts staff will have nontoxic paint and other doggie-safe materials to create unique keepsakes with pets, including a Robert Indiana “LOVE” inspired painting and a clay paw print ornament. Admission is $10 for 2 art projects. Register online at www.indyparks.org or call 317-327-PARK.
Several businesses and organizations will be on site with free treat bags for pups, adoptable dogs, groomers with spray-on stencils, and more.
In addition to the art projects and activities, guests can participate in a doggie kissing booth, silent auction with gift cards and goods from local businesses, enjoy food from local vendors, and participate in collaborative art projects. A wading pool and hose will be available to keep pets cool in the heat. Water dishes will be available for thirsty pups. Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times.
The Garfield Park Arts Center is located at 2432 Conservatory Dr.
