• The Otterbein Neighborhood will host an Easter Egg Hunt Sat., March 31 from noon-2 p.m. at Otterbein United Methodist Church, 5009 E. 21st St. Eggs filled with candy and toys will be there for the finding for kids toddler-7th grade.
• On Thurs., March 22, there will be a Near Eastside Neighborhood Summit from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at Westminster Neighborhood Services, 2325 E. New York St. This is a great free event for residents who want to discuss goals and priorities for making the Near Eastside an even better place. • Mark your calender for the Pathways Over Pogue’s Fundraiser on Tues., March 27 from 6-9 p.m. at the Tick Tock Lounge, 2602 E. 10th St. There will be a silent auction and a 50/50 raffle, with proceeds going to save the historic bridge in Spades Park over Pogue’s Run.
• St. Margaret’s Hospital Guild and the Indiana Blood Center announced that Dr. Janine Fogel and dietician Amy Carter are the recipients of the 2018 Achievement in Medicine (AIM) Award. The AIM Award honors management-level members of the Eskenazi Health team who uphold the tradition of excellence in health care. Dr. Fogel was chosen for her tireless efforts in developing a health and wellness program for transgender patients unlike any other in Indiana. Carter was honored for her creativity and eagerness to seek new opportunities to enhance care of Eskenazi Health patients through expanding programing initiatives, partnership and collaboration with other departments, and developing innovative and interactive ways to deliver education.
• The Benton House Association continues its annual tradition of hosting an Easter egg hunt on Sat., March 31, beginning at 10 a.m. Bring your own basket and meet the Easter Bunny on the grounds of the historic Benton House, 312 S. Downey Ave. Kids can hunt for eggs amongst the early spring blooms in the historic gardens, get their photo taken with the Easter Bunny, and enjoy some fun activities.
• EclecticPond has created an original musical, J. Eyre: A New Musical Adaptation, which will be performed Sun., April 8 from 6:00-8:15 p.m. at Grove Haus, 1001 Hosbrook St. Tickets are available at www.brownpapertickets.com.
