Public Safety Citizens Academy Taking Applications

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indy Public Safety Foundation recently announced that applications are now being accepted for the 8th class of the Public Safety Citizens Academy (PSCA).  The PSCA is a free, 10-week program that gives community members a behind-the-scenes look at Indy’s public safety agencies — the Indianapolis Fire Department (IFD), Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD), Indianapolis Emergency Medical Services (IEMS) and more.  The goal is to build relationships and increase engagement between first responders and the community members they serve.
In addition to the 10 weeks of class sessions at public safety facilities around Indy, participants are invited to attend an Orientation and Graduation. The 8th class will run every Thursday (approx. 6:30 – 9:30 p.m.) from Thurs. March 22 (Orientation) to Thurs. June 7 (Graduation). Participants should be able to attend all class sessions.
There are limited spots available. Visit https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/PSCA8 to register.
