INDIANAPOLIS — On Dec. 1, Indiana Landmarks’ First Friday gallery show doubles as a holiday bazaar where visitors can immediately take home what they buy.
The one-day show and sale staged by Indiana Plein Air Painters Association features landscapes and still-life, priced for gift giving, as well as affordable note cards, jewelry and scarves created by 12 artists, including Mary Ann Davis, Corrine Hull, Pam Newell, Beth Clary Schwier and Karen Stanley. Plein air artists create their works outdoors, on the scene, rather than from photographs. All artists will be present, so visitors can get background information on the art.
Complimentary snacks and beverages will be available during the free First Friday opening, 6 to 9 p.m. on Dec. 1, when you also can tour Indiana Landmarks Center at 1201 Central Ave. in Indianapolis.
