INDIANAPOLIS — Daily entertainment and dozens of beautifully decorated Christmas trees — for viewing and for sale — take center stage at the 29th annual Warren Holiday TreeFest sponsored by the Warren Arts & Education Foundation Inc.
The event takes place Fri., Nov. 17 through Tues., Nov. 21 at the Warren Performing Arts Center (WPAC), 9500 East 16th St. on the campus of Warren Central High School. Hours are 3:30 to 8 p.m. Nov. 17, 20 & 21; 12 noon to 4 p.m. Nov. 18, and 12 noon to 8 p.m. Nov. 19.
Admission is $4 for adults, and $3 for students and seniors age 65+. Children 5 and under are admitted free. In addition to the display of trees, TreeFest features a holiday gift shop, refreshments, Breakfast with Santa & Friends and the annual TreeFest Dinner & Auction (both on Sat., Nov. 18), plus live entertainment on the WPAC stage by school choirs and other local groups throughout the event.
Themed “Christmas Memories,” TreeFest’s lavishly decorated trees are available for purchase, with sales benefiting initiatives of the Warren Arts & Education Foundation. Twice annually, the Foundation provides funding for a wide variety of programs and special educational opportunities throughout Warren Township Schools that are not covered by the traditional school budget.
The pre-lighted and permanently decorated trees are available in three sizes: 7-1/2 feet for $600, 6-1/2 feet for $450, and 4-1/2 feet for $250. Delivery to home or office, plus storage box, are included in the price, courtesy of Morse Moving & Storage, an Allied Van Lines agent.
The annual Holiday TreeFest Dinner & Auction is on Sat., Nov. 18, 6:30 p.m. at the Community Life Center, 10612 E. Washington St. A wide range of items including sports tickets and memorabilia, apparel, collectibles, and much more will be offered for bid in live and silent auctions. Tickets for this event are $30 per person.
The annual TreeFest “Breakfast with Santa & Friends” will be held on Sat., Nov. 18, 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the WPAC’s Studio Theatre. Youngsters are invited to dress in holiday attire, bring a favorite stuffed animal and enjoy storytelling, crafts, delicious breakfast items, visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus, music by the Warren Central High School choirs, and more. Tickets are $5 per person.
