IPS Offers Fall Break Meals

INDIANAPOLIS — Classes may be letting out for Fall Break, but Indianapolis Public Schools will continue to provide free, healthy meals to students while they’re off. IPS’ friendly Foodservice staff will offer free breakfast and lunch at selected sites around the district October 2-13. This year’s offerings include nearly 25 locations with expanded service to three additional community sites via The Bus Stop Café food bus. Those sites include the Haughville Branch Public Library, Martin Luther King Community Center and Stratford Apartments.
IPS served nearly 80,000 meals during the Spring and Summer breaks this year-a significant increase over the same periods last year and the district looks forward to serving even more children during Fall Break. Anyone under the age of 18, is able to eat at any feeding site for free, regardless of whether they attend an IPS school.
