INDIANAPOLIS — The Alzheimer’s Foundation of America (AFA) has awarded grant funding to the Central Indiana Council on Aging (CICOA) Aging & In-Home Solutions, in Indianapolis, to help fund its Help and Hope for Family Caregivers Program for families impacted by Alzheimer’s disease.
The grant will be used to expand the Help and Hope for Family Caregivers program’s educational video series. The six-part video series features local experts and caregivers who provide insights and practical advice about caring for those impacted by Alzheimer’s disease or other health concerns. The video will be made available in Spanish, with subtitles in each of the video modules, to expand CICOA’s reach and serve more people. The video series, accompanying workbook and small group resources are available for free at www.careawarejourney.org.
CICOA is a nonprofit organization, incorporated in 1974, which provides information, advocacy and support services for older adults, people with disabilities and family caregivers in central Indiana.
