INDIANAPOLIS — Film historian Eric Grayson will screen the 1952 classic Singin’ in the Rain with Gene Kelly, Donald O’Connor, and Debbie Reynolds, at 8 p.m. on June 10 at Garfield Park Arts Center.
“This is an original-era dye transfer Technicolor print, with luminous, deep colors not seen on video,” says Grayson. “Don’t miss the opportunity to see this with an audience!”
Long considered one of the greatest musicals (and greatest films) ever made, this film features some of the best dance numbers ever put on film. Although not terribly accurate historically, it makes up for it in rollicking fun.
Admission is $5; concessions are $1. For more information, visit www.gpacarts.org or call 317-327-7135.
