• Cindy Oetjen, a Deputy Prosecutor with the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office Community Prosecution Division presents a free program, Power Against Fraud, to educate about ways to prevent identity theft and protect people from falling victim to various scams. • Congratulations to ArtMix on their recent grant from the Herbert Simon Family Foundation. The money will go to provide adaptive and inclusive arts programs for people with disabilities.
• The Tindley Tigers made it to the Class A Finals! The eastside team will play Lafayette Central Catholic on March 25 at 10:30 a.m. at Bankers Life Fieldhouse, 125 S. Pennsylvania St. Admission is $15 per session. There may still be tickets available at the gate. If you want to see the game at home, tune in to Fox Sports Indiana. Go Tigers!
• Indianapolis Crispus Attucks has also made it to the finals in Class 3A. Their game against Twin Lakes will be on March 25 at 6 p.m. The historic high school is geared up for a major win.
• Irvington Development Organization has been busy helping businesses with facades recently. The facade grants program helped Simply Divine Cupcakes, and Indy Cycle Specialist with exterior building improvements. They also helped Antique Mall of Irvington to repair and rehab their building. As you may recall, the 103-year-old building partially collapsed in September of last year. IDO is working with the Irvington Historical Society in applying for an Indiana Landmarks grant for the building, which is one of last remaining original buildings in the commercial district on East Washington St.
• Many eastside neighborhoods will be holding Spring Cleanups April 1, including the southeast side of Indianapolis. On April 8, the near-eastside will hold their cleanups.
