INDIANAPOLIS — On March 30, the British-born historian of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Donald Davidson, will share his perspectives on the state’s most famous landmark, home of the Indianapolis 500. In his engaging and entertaining style, he’ll chat from the stage in the Grand Hall at Indiana Landmarks Center, 1201 Central Ave.
Known for his radio program, “The Talk of Gasoline Alley,” Davidson loves the car — and racing-loving audience who attend his annual appearance at Indiana Landmarks.
This is his third annual talk for Indiana Automotive, an affinity group of Indiana Landmarks created to celebrate the state’s early auto visionaries and preserve the cars they made, as well as their factories, showrooms, homes, and the landscaped parkways and roadside architecture birthed by the auto age.
The March 30 event will be held at 5:30 p.m. with refreshments and cash bar; talk from 6-7 p.m. (or as late as he’ll keep going). Tickets are $10 per person; $8 per Indiana Landmarks member; $5 per Indiana Automotive member. Tickets are available online at davidsontalk17.eventbrite.com or call 317-639-4534.
