• On Sat. Sept. 24 from 6-7 p.m. at Brookside Park, 3500 Brookside Parkway S. Dr., Riverrun Revisited will perform. This is a site-specific dance performance that brings to life scientific concepts and concerns about human intervention of the waterways in Indianapolis. Choreographed by Butler University Dance Professor Cynthia Pratt and performed by dancers from the Butler Ballet. This is a free performance.
• Our Lady of Lourdes, 5333 E. Washington St., will hold its annual Fall Festival Sept. 22, 23, 24. Look for midway rides, raffles, silent auctions, and much more at this family friendly event. Hours are 5-10 p.m. on Thursday, 5 p.m.-midnight on Friday, and noon- midnight on Sat.
Also at Our Lady of Lourdes is the huge Irvington BrewFest, featuring many local brewers serving up their wares on Sept. 24 at 7 p.m. Admission is $15, which buys you 10 tastings of craft beers, brewery swag, a souvenir pint glass, live music by Audio Diner, and much more. The event will be at 30 S. Downey Ave. Black Acre, Flat 12 Bierwerks, St. Joseph Brewing, Fountain Square Brewing Co., and Metazoa. This is a 21-and-older event.
• Indianapolis Neighborhood Resource Center is having their 22nd Annual Meeting Sept. 27 at 5:30 p.m. at the center, 708 E. Michigan St. The keynote speaker will be DeShonne Jackson, Regional Director of Operations, Area 66 (Indiana), Starbucks Coffee Co.
• On Sat., Oct. 1 from 1:00 p.m. til 5:00 p.m. the T. C. Howe Alumni Association will be holding an Alumni Day. They will be honoring the Class of 1941 on their 75th year since graduation. The Class of 1941 was the first graduating class from Howe. Please come and congratulate them, share memories, enjoy refreshments & tour the halls. There will also be t-shirts, sweatshirts and other merchandise available for purchase (cash only for this event). Please park in the North Parking Lot (down the hill) and come in through the current cafeteria doors.
• Buck Creek Players will open their 43rd season with Claudia Shear’s Dirty Blonde, a musical tribute to Mae West. The season opens on Sept. 30 and will continue for two weekends, with curtain times at 8 p.m. on Fri. and Sat. and 2:30 p.m. on Sun. All performances will be at the Buck Creek Playhouse, 11150 Sourtheastern Ave. Admission is $18 for adults, $16 for students and seniors. Reservations can be made online at www.buckcreekplayers.com.
