LAWRENCE — Theater at the Fort recently announced several new events to round out a busy summer at the facility, located at 8920 Otis Ave. After a very successful Children’s Theatre Festival and Summer Art Camp, the Theater at the Fort will remain busy.
There will be a Teen Acting Workshop with D. Paul Thomas, an actor/director/playwright on Aug. 13 from 2-4 p.m. The workshop is only $5 for two hours. Register online at http://www.lawrenceartcenter.net/event-2274951 now!
The next Fridays at the Fort event, will feature Governor Davis Band will perform. The Governor Davis Band is a 5-piece blues-injected with Soul/R&B/Rock influences based out of Central Indiana. There will be food and drink for purchase, plus a beer tent. Everything is happening at the Lawrence Village Plaza, 9230 Memorial Park Dr. (off 56th St.).
Don’t miss the Everley Sisters on the stage Aug. 27 at 2 p.m. or 7 p.m. These ladies sing three part harmony, transporting audiences to the WWII era of the Andrews Sisters.
