INDIANAPOLIS — The Walker Career Center (WCC) recently celebrated its first graduation class with Koorsen Fire & Security. WCC senior Networking students became the first graduating class of the Life Safety Vocational Program. This program was created in an effort to drive more interest in the life safety industry and to offer high school seniors the training to develop skills needed to become highly sought after job candidates upon high school graduation.
The WCC students who have completed this program earned certifications in areas of Life Safety, Fire Alarm, Security, Honeywell and Sprinkler Systems. These students will also be eligible for paid internships with Koorsen.
