INDIANAPOLIS — The Eskenazi Health Center Pecar Family Fun Fest will be held at 6940 N. Michigan Rd. on Saturday, May 21. The free health fair will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is open to the entire community. A team of health care professionals will be on hand to answer questions and administer free health screenings in a fun and family-friendly atmosphere.
Health screenings provided during the fair will include blood pressure, diabetes, cholesterol, vision, STD and HIV testing. Participants will also have the chance to visit a wide variety of information booths on topics such as nutrition, dental care, mental health, community resources, WIC, smoking cessation, safe sleep and health insurance. Spanish interpreters, bilingual pamphlets and health information will also be available.
In addition to the numerous health screenings and informational booths, there will also be music, snacks and fun activities. Face painting for kids will also be offered, and door prizes will be awarded throughout the event.
