INDIANAPOLIS — On Saturday, April 30, Kids Ink Children’s Bookstore and Bookmamas — the two Indianapolis American Bookseller Association affiliated independent bookstores — will celebrate Independent Bookstore Day during their regular business hours.
Kids Ink will debut their new store t-shirts, and sponsor give aways, special activities and author appearances.
Bookmamas will feature an adult coloring table, author visits and special activities. At 1 p.m., Girl Scout Troop 504 will perform Hoosier Poet April Sayre’s “Indiana Chant” in honor of the Indiana Bicentennial. Bookmamas will also offer special independent bookstore day merchandise such as a Neil Gaiman Coloring Book, Duck & Goose print, Ann Patchett story, Literary Tea Towels and more.
Both stores will offer refreshments.
