• Congratulations and thanks to all who have participated in the Great Indy Cleanup so far! On April 2, the Otterbein neighbors found a whole sidewalk at 19th and Bosart that had been overgrown with brush and debris. Good neighbors cleared it, so it is now useable. Irvington neighbors cleared enough junk from alleys and whatnot that they filled huge dumpsters on April 9. Despite cold weather, everyone bundled up and pitched in to make our neighborhoods better places.

• Tax time is stressful enough without scammers calling people saying they are with the IRS and demanding immediate payment. The IRS will NEVER call you if you owe money; they send a letter. If someone calls you demanding tax payments and threatening arrest, DO NOT do it. Call 317-232-6201 or visit www.in.gov/attorneygeneral/ to report fraud.
