INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Beekeeping School, Inc. is offering a comprehensive class in Beginning Beekeeping Jan. 15-16 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. Class hours are 4 – 9 p.m. Fri. and 7 a.m.-4 p.m. Sat. An optional Sun. afternoon hands-on day will be held in spring at a bee farm west of Brownsburg, for students who have access to protective gear. The course is the most comprehensive offered in Indiana and covers all aspects of beginning beekeeping in Langstroth hives. Over 1,100 have completed the course and become backyard beekeepers.
