INDIANAPOLIS — Randy Decker, teacher at Walker Career Center received one of the Mayor’s Community Service Awards at a recognition ceremony at the Indiana Historical Society on Sept. 22. The Mayor’s Community Service Awards are given to Marion County residents who have done the most for our community.
Decker teaches Electronics, Computer Networking and Digital Electronics. In addition, he is the head sponsor for Warren Robotics.
Cindy Frey, Director of Walker Career Center, notes, “Mr. Decker is a great example of a teacher. He is a person who gives his all and goes above and beyond to provide meaningful learning opportunities for his students. He volunteers countless hours with robotics helping others all over the city. He is one of a kind!”
