INDIANAPOLIS —Learn about Princess Rosie from 91 year old children’s book author and Indiana native, Bette Killion of Greencastle. She will sign and read from her newest book Princess Rosie’s Rainbows on Oct. 17, at 2:30 p.m. at Bookmamas, 9 S. Johnson St.
Killion, a prolific author of numerous children’s books, over 800 children’s poems, stories and articles, joins with illustrator, Kim Jacobs, in bringing to life the magical, multicultural fairy tale about a little princess who is only happy when she sees rainbows. This beautiful book offers young readers the precious lesson that true happiness doesn’t come from outward possessions, but from deep within us; one only needs to look inside one’s heart to find it.
In addition to Killion’s writing career, she has also worked as a children’s librarian and a substitute teacher. Bette remains very active at 91 and has just completed another book, forthcoming with Wisdom Tales Press in 2017, about a long-tailed Argus Pheasant set in the rainforest of Thailand.
