INDIANAPOLIS — Local artists Kristy Hughes and Jessica Springman have been selected as Residents in the 2015 Stutz Studio Residency Program. As the 2015 Stutz Residency winners, Kristy and Jessica have been awarded free studio space and utilities in the Stutz Business and Arts Center for one year, from October 2015 through September 2016. The residency is one of the largest grants to an individual artist in the state. Funding for the residency program comes from proceeds from the association’s annual Raymond James Stutz Artists Open House in April.
Kristy Hughes is an artist and printmaker. Recently, she was a Future Faculty Teaching Fellow at Butler University where she taught relief printmaking, drawing, and art for non-majors.
Jessica Springman graduated Magna Cum Laude from Westminster College of Salt Lake City, Utah, in 1998, with dual Bachelor’s Degrees in Communications and Art. Jessica moved from Utah to Indiana in 1997 to further her career in analytics and data science. Jessica is a member artist at the CCA Gallery in Carmel; director of artist services for the Oasis Gallery in Indianapolis, and the marketing and public relations chairwoman for the Fishers Renaissance Faire.
