HANCOCK COUNTY — The Hancock County Children’s Choir is accepting new members for its upcoming 2015-16 season. The choir serves ages 5-18. Auditions are required for 3rd grade through high school. No audition is necessary for kindergarten through 2nd grade, but a simple choir readiness assessment is conducted before enrollment. If interested, please contact Artistic Choral Director, Gayle Roschi, at gayleroschi@gmail.com to set up an appointment. Auditions/assessments are available through Monday, August 24, 2015. If accepted as a member, students rehearse on Monday afternoons. The rehearsal location will be announced soon.
HCCC is a choral performance and education program dedicated to create musical opportunities for youth through the performance of a variety of musical literature including sacred, secular, classical, pop, patriotic, folk, and cross-cultural genres of music. Students in the choir are taught vocal production, diction, music theory, music history and appreciation, poise, stage presentation, and etiquette. Our interactive programs instill invaluable life-skills, challenging our students to learn, grow, mature and shine.
