INDIANAPOLIS — Indy Parks will welcome the International Cricket Council (ICC) Americas Division One tournament to the Indianapolis World Sports Park from May 3 through May 9.
Teams from Bermuda, Canada, Suriname and the United States will compete. The top two teams will advance to the ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier 2015 set to take place in Scotland and Ireland during July and August.
“ICC Americas is excited to be taking international cricket to Indianapolis for the first time,” said Ben Kavenagh, ICC Americas Regional Development Manager. “We have been impressed with the professionalism and enthusiasm displayed by the City to attract this important competition and look forward to playing at the Indianapolis World Sports Park. The tournament is free to all attendees. We encourage cricket enthusiasts and novices alike to bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy this sport in a new, American venue.”
