INDIANAPOLIS — The Windsor Park Neighborhood Association (WPNA) will be holding a Midsummer Party in Fletcher Park on June 21 from noon to sunset. The park is located at 1429 E. Brookside Ave. The event was inspired by the large colorful sundial in the park, Sundial-Flatland, and the history behind Midsummer, the longest day of the year, the Summer Solstice. There will be live music by local and non-local acts: Native Sun, DMA, Billy Mack Collector, Speaker For The Dead, Miss Kimmy and Zorba Rose, Keldon Snyder, Benny and the June Mac Wood. Tlaolli Tamales and Gordon’s Ice Cream Parlor will be the food vendors. There will be additional performances, lawn games, a beer garden, kid’s crafts, art vendors and activities (for all ages). The event will wrap up with a sunset yoga flash mob by Metta Yoga and a bonfire. This celebration is free and family-friendly. Proceeds from donations and beer sales will go towards improvements at Fletcher Park. Everyone is invited.
