INDIANAPOLIS — Overcoming formidable odds, Paramount School of Excellence’s VEX IQ Robotics earned one of only a select few bids to the VEX IQ World Championship. Teams from 25 countries will compete in Anaheim, California from April 23 to 26.
Participating at the World Championship is the culmination of months of preparation to learn how to engineer and build a robot, code the commands and have the robot accomplish difficult missions. Throughout the school year, the Paramount VEX IQ Team has met daily, accumulating more than 400 hours in programming and executing improvements, practicing and refining their presentation skills.
Team member Jason Hernandez reflected on their remarkable journey to the winner’s circle. “The state championship was a great experience, we worked with amazing teams. We are also glad that our hard work paid off with a trip to the World Championship”
